The rate of violations and fatalities due to traffic accidents in Bharat is highest among the world. SurakshaAI's innovative approach harnesses real-time data and advanced analytics to predict high-risk areas and behaviors, enabling proactive interventions to enhance road safety nationwide.

The Solution

Our solution to the problem is to convert citizens to public police, adopt a crowdsourcing approach and leverage the power of GenAI to record such traffic violations, report to authorities and reward responsible citizens. This will help streamline the overall problem of breaking traffic rules.

What & Why of SurakshaAI?

In 2021, India saw 153,972 road fatalities , equivalent to 11.3 deaths per 100,000 people. A significant number of these deaths were due to accidents at blind spots, areas around vehicles that drivers cannot see directly. To combat this critical issue, Suraksha.ai has developed Vision Guard, an accident prevention system for blind spots.

Additionally, by leveraging GenAI and adopting citizens as key stakeholders, our app not only enhances safety but also empowers citizens to report traffic violations, fostering a community-driven approach to road safety.

We are leveraging AI to validate the authenticity of reported traffic violations - whether it's through a real-time video call or images shared for a traffic violation.

We've already done a successful POC to successfully identify vehicles under varying road conditions.

Leveraging AI

Our stakeholders are - drivers, pedestrians, roadside bystanders - anyone who commits a traffic violation and anyone who can help report a traffic violation. Other stakeholders include companies on Marketplace offering rewards and promotions - these include motor insurance companies, helmet manufacturers, auto manufacturers, safety equipment manufacturers etc.

Platform Components

1. Citizen Mobile App - available on iOS, Android - allows citizens to report violations or accidents, initiate real-time video calls with backend team to validate violations or accidents, browse and claim rewards

2. Backend Web Services - APIs for authentication, initiating video calls, submitting violations and accident reports, claiming rewards etc.

3. Web Portal - Used by backend team to connect with citizens to validate violations or accidents, CMS for configuring rewards, Used by marketplace vendors to list and offer rewards

4. GenAI Model - Validate the accuracy of reported traffic violation/ accident using Gemini LLM, Python libraries
